Team Builds and Away Days
Cookery and Development Day is a 6-7 hour session with a maximum of 8 people who will enjoy a fun and rewarding day out whilst improving team performance, knowledge and insight through the hands-on cookery experience. Bring out the best in your team and promote self-development, positive communication, leadership skills and the ability to work closely together to problem solve.
The team will have practical cookery tasks to complete and will need to use planning, time management and negotiation skills. Specific remits can be incorporated to focus on your team’s goals but typical workshop content includes hands on exercises, a blueprint for maximum effectiveness, team communication and team problem solving. The ‘Ready Steady Cook style Day is a 6 hour session usually 10am – 4pm and numbers are limited to 8/9 working in two teams to produce 2 meals with three courses each. In the morning we will produce some nibbles together as a snack. The recipes given of are varying degrees of complexity in order to stretch those who have culinary competence and prefer a challenge or simple fayre for those who have less confidence and prefer uncomplicated dishes. The cost of the day which includes all recipe folders, ingredients, refreshments, lunch and a Harmony House apron to use on the day is from £80 per person for a minimum of 6.
The Corporate Cuisine away Day is a 4 hour session with a maximum of 12 persons. The cooking session can be as a two course meal, afternoon tea, and barbeque or buffet with salads, or tapas and paella, depending upon the numbers involved. The workshop is suited to a staff fun day out and can be coupled with an informal meeting or training in the morning or afternoon at Harmony House. It can be adapted for up to 16 if the groups are split with another activity. The cost of the event which includes recipe folders, ingredients, refreshments, informal buffet style lunch or afternoon tea is from £65 per person for a minimum of 8.
Meeting and Cooking day is a 5-6 hour session where you can have a relaxed meeting in our conservatorywith refreshments, then we will provide a light lunch main course such as lasagne, shepherd’s pie, curry and rice, fish pie and salad. In the afternoon you can cook any topic on the harmony fun day below. You can eat it at harmony House before you leave or package it up and take it away. The cost is £65 per person and for a minimum of 8 persons
Cooking in Harmony fun day is a 3 hour session with a maximum of 12 persons or 16 if the groups are split with another activity. The session comprises of various topics – making a selection of chocolate based pastries and desserts, baking bonanza, bread making, canapes and nibbles or sweet making which you can take away with you. The cost of the day includes refreshments, a recipe folder, tea towel and the use of Harmony house aprons and is from £45 per person with a minimum of 8. To eat here it will be 4 hours and an additional £10 per person.

Mini Team building
Since we introduced our mini team building events they have become very popular. Making savoury nibbles, cheesecakes or rolling roulades and making chocolates & truffles, rocky road and other sweets are just a few combinations you can make when we come out to your chosen venue. The mini team builds last approx. 2 hours and prices are from £35 per person plus venue costs with a minimum of £15 persons.
If you have a staff restaurant or an approachable hotel large enough for your event we can bring everything to you or if you would just like a demonstration in a hotel or your premises you can entertain your guests in a relaxing atmosphere. The minimum requirements for the fun days out mini and midi & cocktail special are tables, hot water, soap and disposable towels and the facility to oven cook what you have made by or at the chosen venue.
